Frequently Asked Questions
What is Day1Digital?
Day1Digital provided students easy access to an ebooks and courseware through eClass or Moodle, with the discounted cost of the material being billed to your student account.
How much does Day1Digital cost? Why is it so much lower than traditional textbooks?
The price varies depending upon the platform and content used by the instructor, but D1D prices are lower than the cost of purchasing access direct from the publisher or from buying the printed text. The reason the prices are lower is that with this program, we are able to negotiate better prices with the publisher for ebooks.
How and when do I pay for my access?
If you stay in the D1D program we will bill your student account on our next regular billing date. The only exception is if you withdraw from the course prior to the D1D withdrawal deadline. For information on dates click here.
Once I make my choice can I change my mind?
Yes. You can opt yourself in and out during a short time at the beginning of the semester. After that, you can no longer choose.
I dropped or withdrew from the class. Will I receive a refund?
If you drop the course before the Day1Digital withdrawal deadline, you will not be billed.
Is Day1Digital available for all titles and courses?
No. D1D is available in selected courses. We are partnering with top publishers and while the list will continue to grow, not every title is available at this time.
Can I download the book to read offline?
Yes. If you have opted in for the ebook, you can read it offline using the VitalSource Bookshelf app.
Can I access the ebook after the course?
There are varying licence lengths. Check the link description in your eClass page for the licence length of your book. If it extends beyond the dates of the course, you can access your ebook on VitalSource Bookshelf app.

What is courseware?
Courseware is any number of interactive learning tools, including videos, links, quizzes, and assignments, that are designed to help students understand the topics being studied. Your instructor may assign courseware as a component of your final grade or just for extra learning opportunities. The Day1Digital program includes courseware. Some examples of courseware are MyLab, Achieve, Connect, and WebAssign.
